Our travel recovery time was quite successful, and we were soon ready to continue our adventures. Our next destination ... the artist/tourist town of Ubud and our lombong (small barnlike house on stilts) in the middle of rice paddies.

The engineering of the terraced rice paddies is something that makes Bali famous. We got to see what's involved in growing rice on hillsides up close. Here are some pictures of the little canal waterways, the ducks who enjoy the flooded fields, and the general surroundings of our brief stay.
