Our time in Ubud included a visit to the Sacred Monkey Forest, home to a couple famous temples and, of course, lots of monkey. The forest is surrounded by city, but once you are in it, it's quiet and peaceful. Here are some of the inhabitants.

Our Bali visit coincides with the Hindu festival of Galungan - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galungan. We'll be learning more about this celebration as we bike through small villages around the island. Currently there are preparations everywhere, including at the temples in the Monkey Forest. Here are a few pictures of brightly clothed women with offerings? on their heads.
